One of the biggest consumer trade shows IIMTF opened its door for people at India Expo Centre and Mart , Greater Noida from 4 August ,2017. It is going to be a 12 day event from 4 to 15 August where exhibitors from all around the world are participating. This event featured foreign products, participation from Central Govt, State Govt – Ministries, Departments & PSUs, Ministries of Foreign countries, lifestyle, electronics, electrical, food, jute, handicrafts, handlooms, etc. This mega trade fair has been organised by G.S. Marketing Associates who has conducted IIMTF in four major cities.
The India Expo Centre And Mart is one of the multifunctional venue with technology merged facilities and safety standards, it has 77,240 sq. mt. area off indoor exhibition space with 14 exhibition halls. For IIMTF there were 7 halls equipped with 700 stalls out of which stall no. 7 has been provided to the small scale business and start-up in which most of the exhibitors were supported by NSIC and EPCH. These supported stalls were given free space from EPCH and has been given an opportunity to showcase their products at a bigger platform.
Day 1, started with showcasing of products in which handicrafts and hand made art were the centre of attraction for the visitors, it witnessed a normal footfall as it is the beginning day of the fair.
Day2, began with inauguration ceremony by District Magistrate and Union Minister Arjun Meghwal. The visitor count on this date increased a bit and the highlight of the exhibition were stalls from Afghanistan and Pakistan. They showcased the Afghan dry fruits and famous Pakistani suit-kurti. The exhibitors from Pakistan has reviewed the first 2 days an average and slow start.
Day 3, the exhibition recorded a boost in the consumers footfall , many people from Delhi- NCR turned up , the 3rd day also had some special lucky draw contest for the visitors . It was in association with TVS bikes, in which the lucky winner at the end of the day will be rewarded with a Tvs bike or scooter from the organisers and host.
At day 4, the highlight of the show were the household and appliances making brands which attracted the visitors a lot. There were demo of the instruments with heavy discounts offers which gathered the crowed near such stalls. People participated well in these contest and took away products on heavy discounts. In the evening, SP of Gautam Budh Nagar visited the fair and announced the lucky winner for the day.
Many exhibitors reviewed the show as:
“we have participated in IIMTF earlier in Kolkata and had done good business there but here in Noida , we are not getting the response we accepted from this fair”, Ramesh, Frylo.
“ it is the first time we are participating in IIMTD, since it is the beginning of the fair so we did not got much buyers but we know the value of this fair and are hopeful for the upcoming days, as this is one of the biggest consumer fair”, Nilesh Sharma, Kazak Max.
“the stalls are empty, there is no footfall as such but the arrangements done by the organisers are totally satisfactory, Shweta Aggarwal, Ranee Perfumer.
“there is no genuine buyers , people are just watching are products , hope the coming days will bring us with somw business”, Atul Garg, Kent Ro Systems.
The show is ongoing as it is the 5th day of this exhibition. Both the organisers and exhibitors are hopeful and positive for the visitors footfall for the upcoming days.
