The highly anticipated 2nd edition of Brands of India, India’s largest apparel trade show, kicked off with a vibrant ceremony on November 12, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Centre’s Za’abeel Hall 4. The event was inaugurated by Satish Kumar Sivan, Consul General of India to the UAE, and brought together over 150 top Indian apparel brands and white-label manufacturers.
The exhibition, organized by The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), showcases an impressive range of fashion, from Men’s, Women’s, and Kids’ wear to Athleisure, Winterwear, Ethnic wear, and more. With buyers from across the globe, including key players from the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, it’s a unique platform for global retailers, wholesalers, and e-commerce platforms seeking to source high-quality Indian apparel.
Speaking at the event, Consul General Sivan emphasized the importance of the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which enables duty-free apparel imports, making India an even more attractive sourcing destination. Santosh Katariya, President of CMAI, highlighted India’s strengths in apparel manufacturing, including low labor costs, small order capabilities, and efficient logistics.
The expo has already attracted 1500+ pre-registered visitors and is set to be a major business hub for global buyers. Leading retailers from the Middle East, including Lulu Group and Landmark Group, are also among the key buyers visiting the show. With a broad range of networking and sourcing opportunities, Brands of India continues to strengthen its position as a key player in the global apparel industry.
