Messe Berlin has announced the appointment of Igor Palka as the new Senior Vice President, effective September 2024. With an impressive career spanning 20 years in the exhibition and events industry, Igor brings a wealth of experience and strategic insight to his new role. At 40 years old, he steps into this position with a strong track record of driving growth and innovation within the global exhibition landscape.
In his new role at Messe Berlin, Igor will manage the Tech portfolio, New Business Development, the Business Insights Unit, and oversee all foreign representatives of the company. He began his career in the exhibition industry with Messe München and has since held key leadership roles across multiple regions, including the US, Europe, and Asia, with a particular focus on India and ASEAN countries. Most recently, he served as Managing Director at VNU Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for the joint venture between Royal Jaarbeurs and TCC in Thailand. VNU Asia Pacific is a strategic alliance between two of the world’s leading exhibition management companies. European partner is the Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs Group, one of the world’s 20 largest exhibition organizers. The Asian counterpart is South East Asia’s widely diversified corporate conglomerate TCC Assets.
