Mr. Jeroen Van Hooff, President & CEO of Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs, and Ms. Panadda Kongma, Vice President of Business at VNU Asia Pacific, attended the prestigious Exhibition Industry Summit 2024 and Gala Dinner, held at Capella Bangkok, Thailand, on October 25, 2024. The summit served as a pivotal platform for in-depth discussions on the global exhibition sector, providing valuable insights into economic trends, industry strategies, and the unique advantages Thailand offers in this dynamic field. Aligning with national objectives, the summit underscored emerging opportunities to position Thailand as a leader in the global exhibition landscape. During the event, Mr. Jeroen Van Hooff had the honor of meeting H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand, reaffirming Thailand’s commitment to driving economic growth nationwide.

Additionally, their leadership team joined a roundtable meeting with the Prime Minister of Thailand at Government House, along with key stakeholders, including the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC), the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), the Board of Investment (BOI), the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, among others. This high-level discussion centered on Thailand’s economic potential, high purchasing power, and the future of the exhibitions sector, emphasizing the ease of organizing MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) business events. The discussions provided a comprehensive overview of the support available from Thai government agencies and private sectors, highlighting the steps necessary to advance Thailand’s competitive standing in the global market. This executive event, hosted by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), is driven by a strong mission to position Thailand as a leading destination for MICE activities.
