๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซ. For me, trade fair organisation has never been a job, itโs my passion. It is a fantastic way to bring people from different countries and cultures together, all driven by one thing: logistics optimization.
Without logistics, nothing moves forward. And the amazing thing is that logistics is everywhere. It is so much more than just transport. Material handling in production, storage, warehousing and delivery offers enormous potential for collaboration and optimising time and costs. We live in a globally connected world. International trade fairs like LogiMAT bring people together. They give people from all over the world the opportunity to get to know each other, build trust and create a basis for doing business together. Never forget that every long-term business relationship starts with a first meeting. On top of that it is the ideal place to compare a huge number of products, solutions and services in a short time.
For me the best thing about the job of a trade fair organiser is that your own success is never the focus. It is always about giving exhibitors and trade visitors a sense of achievement. Your own sense of achievement comes from bringing together a multicultural audience from a variety of different industries and shaping not your own business, but that of others.
๐๐. ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ญ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ซ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ง๐๐๐ซ ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐?
๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซ. That’s a difficult question. I have been working for over 50 years now, almost half of which as a trade fair organizer. For me, it’s time to step back a little and leave the future to the younger generation.
But of course, the LogiMAT teams in India, but also in Germany, Thailand and China have big plans and will continue to drive LogiMAT forward to bring people together and bundle the information for trade visitors from all over the world so that they can optimize their business.
Our next trade fair will be in Stuttgart. Here we expect more than 1,600 exhibitors from over 40 countries to meet around 70,000 trade visitors. LogiMAT in Stuttgart will take place from March 11 to 13, 2025. LogiMAT Stuttgart, which I started in 2003, is by far the biggest and most important trade show on (intra)logistics worldwide.
One month later, from April 24 to 26, 2025, LogiMAT China will take place in the fascinating city of Shenzhen. Shenzhen is the heart of technology and innovation in China. LogiMAT China is worth a trip, I can promise you that.
And last but not least, LogiMAT Southeast Asia in the heart of the region: Bangkok. LogiMAT Southeast Asia covers the entire ASEAN region and will take place from October 15 to 17, 2025 at BITEC in Bangkok.
For me, that means that I will take a step back and observe future developments with interest and with a very good feeling. All teams are prepared for this future and I am sure that it will be fantastic to see the trade fairs grow from my more comfortable, non operational position. I will be involved but no longer at the centre. And that is a good thing.
