A three-day Telangana Tourism Conclave will be held in Hyderabad from June 28. The primary aim is to promote interaction between the tourism industry and stakeholders. The conclave will be organised by the Ftapcci (Federation of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry) in association with the Global Panorama Showcase Ltd (GPS), Nagpur. “The first day will see a knowledge seminar and the next two days will be dedicated to B2B (business to business) interactions through a trade show,” said Gowra Srinivas, President, Ftapcci. Regretting that there has been no handholding of medical tourism, Gowra said Ftapcci is planning an exclusive medical tourism conclave.“Time has come to showcase the meeting point of India and Telangana,” said Venkatesham, Telangana Tourism Secretary. “There is immense scope for job creation in the tourism industry, which is currently untapped. Moreover, the rich history of our State remains unparalleled and offers one of the best climates in India. We should be having much more visitors,” he added. The toursim conclave “is going to be a totally green event,” said Harmandeep Singh, Managing Director, GPS. He claimed a savings of $100,000 by cutting down on the use of paper.
