On 8th of September Defence ministry ended the speculation around the venue city of Aero India 2019.The Minstry confirmed that 5 day Aerospace exhibition will happen in its birth city Bengaluru.Earlier, Chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Mr. Yogi Adityanath had requested the defence minister Nirmala Seetharaman to host the event in Lucknow. Lately, Chief minister of Karnataka H D Kumaraswamy wrote a letter to the Prime minister of India Narendra Modi, explaining about the suitability of Bengaluru for Aero India. He mentioned how Bengaluru is the ‘Best choice’ to host the event.
Aero India is a biennial air show and aviation exhibition held in Bengaluru, India at the Yelahanka Air Force Station. It is organised by the Defence Exhibition Organisation, Ministry of Defence. Since the origination Bengaluru had been hosting the event. It is to be held from 20-24th February 2019. Previous edition that was held from 14-18th February 2017 witnessed 549 companies (270 Indian and 279 Foreign), 72 participating aircraft, cover an area of 27,678 sqm and witness participation from 51 different countries.
