IICC Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony: One Step Closer To Increase In Trade

India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC) is being developed over an area of 221.37 acres in Sector 25 Dwarka, New Delhi on the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister to create a state of the art Exhibition and Convention Centre to promote the MICE industry. The centre is expected to host more than 100 National and International events every year and generate over 5 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities in India. CII is organising the ‘Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony’ by Narendra Mondi, PM of India on 20th September, 2018. All IESA and IEIA members are invited for the same. Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) is implementing the project, which will be developed in two Phases.  Phase-I to be completed in December 2019 with a Convention Centre (60,000sqm) and Two Exhibition Halls (60,000 sqm) with adjoining Foyer and related support facilities.  Phase-II will be completed by December 2024 with construction of 3 Exhibition Complexes, Arena, Metro connectivity, Hotels, Retail and Office space. IICC will be an integrated complex with a built-up area of 10.70 lakh sq. meters with an estimated investment of Rs.25,700 crore. It will have Exhibition Halls, Convention centre comprising Plenary Hall, Ball Room and 13 Meeting Rooms along with multi-purpose arena and open space for exhibitions.
