Indian and Taiwanese companies signed MOU on 29 August, 2018 as a part of ongoing 2nd Indo-Taiwan Industrial Collaboration Summit organised by FICCI. The event was signed in the presence of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) Secretary, Ramesh Abhishek and Ms Mei Hua Wang, the Vice Minister of Economic affairs of Taiwan. Wang spoke of the need to touch the rising opportunities for business and industrial collaboration in India. Speaking in the Summit Abhishek addressed that Taiwan supremacy in electronic and mobile manufacturing and India’s talent and skills along with easy investment policies makes the right time for collaboration. “This is a good time for investment in India as India is likely to become almost 10 trillion-dollar economy by 2030” he said. The summit was also addressed by the Representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Center (TECC), Tien Chung-Kwang; Vice Chairman of Indian Affairs Committee, CNFI, Feng-Tzu Tsai; FICCI Electronics and White Goods Manufacturing Committee Chair, Som Mittal and Co-Chair of the FICCI Committee and President and CEO, Panasonic India, Manish Sharma.
