As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be unabated, the Clothing Manufacturers Association Of India (CMAI), headquartered in Mumbai, has decided to hold its regular 71st National Garment Fair (NGF) 2020 as an Virtual Event from 2-11 September 2020. Earlier it had a plan to hold NGF as a physical event at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. NGF is India’s largest apparel show. It now goes online, re-imagined to let exhibitors do their business remotely.

The show used to take place twice a year in January and July. The July edition of the event used to take place in the first or the second week of the month. The 4-day-long July edition last year had over 1,000 exhibitors from across India and around 40,000 visitors including retailers, corporate buyers, wholesalers, agents, distributors, etc. visited it.

CMAI is the pioneer and most representative Association of the Indian apparel industry for over four decades. It has a membership base of over 20,000 companies, including Readymade Garment Manufacturers, Exporters, Retailers and Ancillary Industry. CMAI took initiative way back in 1982 to establish National Garment Fair & Regional Garment Fairs to connect domestic garment manufacturers with retailers, distributors and agents across the country.
