The 15th edition of Aero India 2025 has officially launched at Bengaluru’s Yelahanka Air Force Station, underscoring India’s growing influence in the global aerospace and defence sectors. In the inaugural address, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who inaugurated the event, highlighted India’s ambition to position itself as a dominant force in the global defence export market. With the theme “The Runway to a Billion Opportunities,” the five-day event, featuring over 900 exhibitors and representatives from 150 foreign countries, is designed to advance India’s vision of becoming a strong, self-reliant nation by 2047. Aero India has become one of the most prominent events in the aerospace and defence industry.

Serving as a crucial platform for international collaboration, the event brings together defence leaders, foreign companies, and government officials. Key exhibits include cutting-edge technologies such as the Russian Su-57 fighter jet and the American F-35.

Aero India 2025 also highlights major initiatives like the Defence Ministers’ Conclave, the CEOs Roundtable, the iDEX Pavilion and the Samarthya Indigenisation program. These platforms highlight India’s commitment to self-reliance in defence manufacturing while fostering global partnerships. Additionally, the Manthan iDEX competition encourages start-ups to drive innovation in the defence sector, further supporting India’s efforts to boost domestic production and expand its global defence exports.
