The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Messe AG appointed Andrea Aulkemeyer (57) as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective May 1, 2022. This gives her overall responsibility for the “Finance & Administration” and “Operations” business units. As Chairman of the Management Board (CEO), Dr. Jochen Köckler is responsible for “Trade Fair & Product Management” and “Sales”.
The CFO position was newly created as part of the restructuring of Deutsche Messe AG. From May 1, 2022, the Deutsche Messe Management Board will be complete with Dr. Jochen Köckler as CEO and Andrea Aulkemeyer as CFO.
“With the appointment of Andrea Aulkemeyer to the Management Board, the realignment of Deutsche Messe AG initiated at the end of 2020 has been completed. We are delighted that we have been able to recruit an absolute expert for this position, who also knows her way around Hannover. The completion of the Executive Board comes at the right time, as the trade fair business is just now really picking up again after the Corona pandemic,” says Belit Onay, Lord Mayor of the City of Hannover and Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Deutsche Messe AG.
Since 1987, Aulkemeyer has held various management positions in the healthcare sector as a divisional manager, managing director and board member. In the course of her career, among others, as a member of the Executive Board of Rhoen-Klinikum AG, as Managing Director of Klinikum Wilhelmshaven gGmbH, and as Vice President and Head of Business Management and Administration at Hannover Medical School (MHH), she has acquired extensive restructuring expertise.
