The two-day BW Indian Hospitality Awards & Summit successfully concluded in the Pullman Hotel, Aerocity, New Delhi. Started in 2016, the event witnessed its 4th edition this year. The day began with welcome remarks by Dr. Anurag Batra, Chairman & Editor-in-chief, BW Businessworld, followed by few special addresses of some key dignitaries present there. Then began a series of insightful panel discussions on plethora of issues concerning the broader hotel sector. The first in the row was – ‘Market forces that will shape the hospitality sector in next five years’. Followed by this was another interesting session on ‘Trends that will define the emerging market’, which was in turn followed by a lunch break. Keeping the taste of food alive in mouth and the relish in mind, post lunch session began with a discussion on ‘food trends that will define the emerging Market’. Owing to various factors, the event did witness a significant delay in the schedule, creating hiccups for both- organizer as well as delegates. It is being feared that some sections of the event might be guillotined due to the paucity of time. However, speaking in overall terms, the event could have been much praiseworthy had enough focus been given on issues like lunch options and efficient time management etc.
