After three intensive days, the CHINA DIECASTING exhibition in Shanghai closed on 21 July 2017 with record-breaking totals for exhibitors, exhibition area and visitors.

At the stands and in the accompanying supporting programme, 323 exhibitors (295 in 2016) and 14,256 trade visitors (12,072 in 2016) shared their views and insights on all the latest issues affecting the die casting industry. Around every fifth exhibitor (22 percent) has their head office outside China. In a post-event survey, exhibitors praised the high quantity and calibre of the contacts they made as well as the professional organisation and execution of the trade fair. Some exhibitors have already confirmed that they will be taking part again next year. The Sino-Foreign Die Casting Development Forum on the day before this year’s CHINA DIECASTING was making its second appearance at the event and featured speakers from DGS Druckguss-Systeme AG, Bühler AG, NEMAK and the University of Landshut. Conference delegates were especially interested in the panel discussion on “The future of die casting in a world of changes, challenges and opportunities”.

Even now it is clear that the current 23,000 square metres of exhibition area in two halls at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) will no longer be adequate next year and so a third hall will be added. The organisers attribute the dynamic development of CHINA DIECASTING to the huge potential offered by China as the world’s largest die casting market.

Next round: CHINA DIECASTING, 18 – 20 July 2018, Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).
