ELECRAMA 2025: Empowering India’s Leadership in the Global Energy Transition

ELECRAMA 2025, held from February 22 to 26, marked a pivotal event for India’s electrical and energy sectors, showcasing the nation’s capabilities and leadership in the global energy transition. The 16th edition of this world-renowned electrical exhibition, organized by the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA), highlighted India’s commitment to becoming a global manufacturing hub under Aatmanirbhar Bharat and a key player in the energy sector.

The inaugural session featured distinguished industry leaders, including Oliver Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric; Matthias Rebellius, CEO of Siemens Smart Infrastructure; Sunil Singhvi, President of IEEMA; Vikram Gandotra, President (Elect) and Chairman, ELECRAMA 2025; and Siddharth Bhutoria, Vice President, IEEMA and Vice Chairman, ELECRAMA 2025

Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister of Power and Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India, inaugurated the event, reaffirming the government’s commitment to fortifying India’s energy infrastructure. Speaking at the opening ceremony, he stated, “India is poised to become the world’s third-largest economy by 2027 and a fully developed nation by 2047. Power is the cornerstone of this transformation. With an installed renewable energy capacity surpassing 200 GW and an ambitious goal of 500 GW by 2030, we are taking significant strides in sustainability. Expanding EV infrastructure, integrating Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology, and digitalizing the power sector will be pivotal in this transition.”

Oliver Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric, lauded India’s progress, stating, “With the rapid proliferation of artificial intelligence, data centers, and industrial expansion, there is an unprecedented demand for innovative energy solutions. India’s strong manufacturing ecosystem and skilled workforce position it as a global leader in energy transition. ELECRAMA 2025 serves as a crucial platform to showcase cutting-edge innovations and forge industry-defining partnerships”.

Emphasizing the evolving landscape of India’s power sector, Matthias Rebellius, CEO of Siemens Smart Infrastructure, remarked, India is at a turning point, where digitalization and clean energy adoption are redefining its power industry. Smart grids, automation, and sustainable energy investments will drive progress. ELECRAMA 2025 provides the perfect ecosystem for industry collaboration, shaping a resilient and efficient energy future.

Highlighting India’s emergence as a major energy player, Sunil Singhvi, President of IEEMA, expressed, India’s power sector is undergoing an unprecedented transformation, backed by robust policies and industry-wide collaboration. With 210 GW of renewable energy already achieved and a clear roadmap for 500 GW by 2030, India is cementing itself as a global hub for energy innovation. Our focus remains on fostering startups, upskilling the workforce, and ensuring India remains a trusted global partner in the energy sector.

Underlining the scale of ELECRAMA 2025, Vikram Gandotra, Chairman of ELECRAMA 2025, emphasized, “As India completes 10 years of the ‘Make in India’ initiative, ELECRAMA 2025 showcases our growing influence in the global energy domain. With 1,100+ exhibitors, over 400,000 expected business visitors, and $20 billion worth of business inquiries, this edition is bigger and more impactful than ever. The presence of international industry leaders solidifies India’s standing as a major force in the global energy ecosystem”.
