The 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) was held on 25th September, 2017 at New Delhi. There was election of six members of Committee of Administration. The election was concluded and following candidates were elected for member of the Committee of Administration of EPCH:
Mr. Sudhir Kumar Tyagi – M/s Supras International Central
Mr. Naved Ur Rehman – M/s Zed Sons Central
Mr. Dinesh Kumar – M/s Orient Art & Crafts Northern
Mr. Sagar Mehta – M/s Qtl Export House Northern
Mr. Ashok Boob – M/s Om GANESH Western
Mr. Om Prakash Prahladka-M/s Hitaishi Kk- Manufacturing Company Pvt. Ltd.eastern
Members of Council from all over India were present during the 31st AGM. The members also unanimously approved the other agenda of AGM. Shri A.K. Mohanty, Returning Officer, a Senior Officer from Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India declared result of election during the 31st AGM held on 25.09.2017.
The Handicrafts exports during the year 2016-17 was Rs. 24,392.39 crores with overall 13.15% increase in comparison to last year. During first five month of current financial year i.e. 2017-18, export to the tune of Rs. 10,621.55 crores has been met out and it is hoped that target fixed for the year 2017-18 will be surpassed.
