GREATER NOIDA: The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) is gearing up for its second edition, set to take place at the Expo Mart from September 25 to 29. Modeled after the renowned Delhi Trade Fair and organized by the state government, UPITS 2024 will feature 2,500 exhibitors from 80 countries.

This year’s event will spotlight a diverse array of sectors including agriculture, e-commerce, electronics, fisheries, handloom, textiles, horticulture, leather, ODOP (one district one product), retail, sports, tourism, toys, MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises), and Khadi. Additionally, 31 units from Gautam Budh Nagar will display products ranging from textiles and handicrafts to electronics and auto parts.

According to Manish Kumar Verma, the district magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar, the trade show is anticipated to attract 500,000 visitors. “Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, the UPITS offers an invaluable platform for buyers and sellers from across India and around the world to connect and explore business opportunities,” Verma stated at a press conference on Friday.

To facilitate smooth traffic flow, shuttle services will run from the Botanical Garden and Pari Chowk to the venue, with extensive parking arrangements and traffic police to assist commuters.

Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML), expects this year’s fair to exceed the previous edition, with 100,000 B2B (business-to-business) visitors and 350,000 B2C (business-to-consumer) visitors from 80 countries.

The event will also include a laser show highlighting India’s cultural heritage, featuring landmarks such as the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Ram Temple of Ayodhya. Attendees will also have the chance to participate in a lucky draw.

Entry is free, with business delegates able to attend from 11 am to 3 pm and the general public from 3 pm to 10 pm.
