With less than five months to go until Expo 2020 welcomes the world, delegates from across the globe are coming together for the final International Participants Meeting, at Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC), Expo 2020 Dubai, from 4-5 May.
The attendees – all participants and partners of the first World Expo to be held in the Arab world and one of the first mega-events to take place globally since the start of the pandemic – are from more than 173 countries, with a number of delegates also participating virtually. They represent nations, multilateral organisations, academic institutions and corporations from across the globe.
They will receive the latest updates on critical topics relating to the six-month global gathering, which opens on 1 October, including operations, security, city readiness, marketing and communications, and programming – as well as the stringent measures being taken, in line with the UAE’s wider efforts to combat COVID-19, to ensure the health and well-being of Expo’s workforce, participants and visitors.
The IPM is the first event to be held at DEC – a 45,000sqm, world-class, multipurpose space that will be a major draw for the MICE industry during Expo 2020 and beyond, and a significant symbol of Expo’s long-term business and tourism legacy.
