IELA Operations Summit: High Value for Operations Manager

IELA’s (International Exhibition Logistics Association) 2nd Operations Summit, the event for operational staff, took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from February 1st to 3rd 2018.

Borned from IELA’s initiative “Giving back benefits to our members”, the Operations Summit is a bienal platform for training and social activities for operational staff. It includes a structured networking during two afternoon sessions as well as educational seminars and presentations of renowned guest speakers of the Industry. It is a three-day conference for employees to learn about the needs of organisers and airline operators. For this second edition, two special guest speakers from the industry delivered knowledge and insight: Konstantin Stathopoulos, Head of Sales & Handling South China, Hong Kong & Taiwan at Lufthansa Cargo AG, and Ian Hume, Manager Traffic and Logistics at Messe Düsseldorf. IELA experts delivered volunteer work offering lecturers focused on the day-to-day business of exhibition freight forwarders and on-site operations; OH&S, Leadership/Social Skills, Country file about Russia, and many other relevant topics to empower our exhibition logistics managers.

The 2016 Operations Summit was attended by 67 delegates representing 67 IELA member companies from 29 countries. The 2nd edition this year exceeded this count.
