IITF 2019 CONCLUDES ON A SUCCESSFUL NOTE.

“India International Trade Fair is a major establishment in terms B2B and B2C relationship in Asia. IITF2019 elicited more than four lakh visitors, and according to ITPO, the next edition of the fair will have 15 lakh visitors at the new infrastructure of International Exhibition and Convention Centre at Pragati Maidan.

Theme  for IITF2020 will  be the ‘Ease of  Living’ where in ITPO  should  have  a meaningful  interface with all the stakeholders as well as  trade and industry  fraternity to carry  forward India’s success story in diverse  fields.  There is a need to focus on ‘Start ups and Stand-ups’ to encourage young   entrepreneurship.     We   need  to focus  on ‘ Reform , Perform  and  Transform’ with  collective approach for fulfilling   ‘ New   India’ aspiration     a vision  of  the  Hon’ble  PM.  There  is a requirement  to have  more  investment under  public private  partnership (PPP)  in infrastructure and  to  achieve  the  target  of US$ 5 trillion economy  in  next five years.    The  government   has decided  to  hold  four mega  business   promotion  events  at  different   locations in the  country  and  India  Trade   Promotion  Organisation(ITPO ) has  to  play a  significant  role in  conceptualisation  and  organisation  of  these events pointed  out by Shri Piyush Goyal, the Hon’ble Minister  of Commerce  and  Industry , Government  of   India at the Awards Distribution ceremony  of IITF2019 at Hamsadhawani Theatre, Pragati  Maidan, New  Delhi, today.

The Minister also presented the Awards for Excellence in Display to the winners of different categories.  Present on the occasion were Shri L.C. Goyal, CMD, ITPO, Shri  Rajesh Agrawal, ED, ITPO, Shri   Sanjay  Chaddha, Additional  Secretary  and  Shri  Shashank  Priyank, Additional  Secretary,  Department  of  Commerce , Government   of  India,  participants from India and overseas, members  of  the  Diplomatic  corps  and  media  persons.

The  Minister  complimented ITPO  for  holding  the  fair  with a reduced  size  and  retaining regular format  of  the  event.  Acknowledging  presence  of  a  considerable  number of  foreign  companies  and the  Partner Country, the Islamic  Republic  of  Afghanistan,  the Focus Country,  Republic  of Korea’ and  the  Focus States ‘Bihar’ and ‘Jharkhand’, he   said   that the fair highlighted export potential of the country in diverse sectors  along with  its  focus  on  the  theme  ‘Ease  of  Doing  Business’. He   indicated   that the theme has remained extremely relevant to the progressive Indian business fraternity especially when there is an improvement in India’s ‘Ease of Doing Business’ global rating..

The Partner Country Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Focus Country Republic of Korea and the Focus States Bihar and Jharkhand were honoured with the Gold Medals.

In the State/Union Territory cateogories, The Gold  Medal confered to Bihar, the  Assam received the Silver Medal while the  Bronze was presented to Andhra Pradesh. Jharkhand and West Bengal were honored with the Jury Recommendation Certificate.

In the Foreign Sector Category Syed Junaid Alam W.L.L., Bahrain received the Gold Medal, Tillo Hediyelik Esya San. Tic. Ltd. Turkey received the Silver and Shandong Brightway International Exhibition Corp. Ltd., China bagged the Bronze. Jury Recommendation Certificate was confered to the SOCIETE M, AIN D, OR DU CENTRE, Tunisia.

Ministry of Earth Sciences bagged the Gold Medal and the Silver Medal was presented to The Directorate General of Tax Payer Services, Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs while the Khadi & Village Industries Commission won the Bronze Medal.  Directorate of Income Tax (Central Board of Direct Taxes) and Coir Board were honoured with the Jury Reccomendation Certificate in the Ministries and Departments /PSU’s & PSB’s and Commodity Boards category.

In the Private Sector, M/s. Color Dot Packagings (OXARO) won the Gold Medal, TATA Chemicals Limited received the Silver Medal and Vasu Healthcare Private Limited received the Bronze Medal. Jury Recommendation Certificate was presented to Ellora Enterprises.
