- Over 1200 exhibitors and 7500 global buyers
The Indus Food fair continues to serve as a pivotal platform, bridging gaps and fostering international collaboration within the vibrant landscape of India’s food industry. Organized by Trade Promotion Council of India in association with the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India, the 7th edition of Indusfood, that is touted as South East Asia’s largest food and beverage export focused exhibition, is being held from 8th to 10th January 2024 in India Expo Mart, Gr. Noida.
Indusfood 2024 is featuring a wide array of sectors, each resonating with the multifaceted culinary heritage of India. From sweets and confectionery to dairy, dry fruits, tea and coffee, spices, fresh fruits and vegetables, wine and alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages, organic and health food, oil and oil seeds, the fair marches ahead with its vision to expand the reach of Indian food and beverage products globally and to fortify trade relationships.
In his opening address at the inauguration of the exhibition, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Sh. Piyush Goyal praised India’s diverse food industry, emphasizing its potential to captivate global markets. Speaking on India’s food processing sector, he highlighted the 150% growth in processed food exports over the last nine years. The Minister highlighted that India’s agricultural exports stood at an aggregate of about US$ 53 Billion that has a capacity to reach US $100 Biliion by 2030. He quoted the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and said that the time has come for a fusion of technology and taste. He emphasized the need for large-scale food processing, product branding, and export focus to provide better value to farmers, generate employment, and enhance the country’s earnings.
Mr. Mohit Singla, Chairman, TPCI in his welcome note quoted, “Over a span of 6 years, Indusfood has provided a dedicated and powerful platform for the Indian F&B industry to promote its strengths and expand its horizons in the global market. With around 1200+ exhibitors and 7500+ global buyers Indus food fuels the F&B business by facilitating connections between buyers and brands with outstanding services like international hosted buyer program and online matchmaking programs, bridging relationships, strengthening connections and attracts investors from over 30 countries keen on exploring opportunities within India’s thriving food industry. This time around 80 new retail chains have joined the exhibition from around 20 countries including Europe, Gulf Countries and many more”. Mr. Singla also showed his sincere gratitude towards the Ministry for Commerce and Industry for bolstering up the mission.
