The team at the NEC in Birmingham announced the appointment of Michelle Baldwin to Head of Events for the Midlands venue.
The move comes as the business increases its event and operations team back to pre-pandemic levels.
Formerly Senior Event Manager for the NEC, Michelle has been with the NEC Group for 32 years, having begun her career in live events as an intern.
Following a secondment to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games in the summer, she will be taking on her new role with a fresh outlook. Michelle comments: “My affinity with the NEC runs deep, so I am extremely excited to be taking on this position. The wealth of in-venue expertise we have here is world-class and we deliver outstanding events with our organisers.
“It is important we now fine-tune the work that has been done post-pandemic, to further enhance our event management and operational offer. This new team set up gives us the opportunity to do this, as we continue what has already been a very busy season so far.”
