In 2021 Milan will host World Routes at MiCo – Milano Convention Centre, an international event organized by Informa, which represents the global meeting place for every airline, airport and aviation stakeholder. World Routes 2021 is hosted by SEA Milan Airports, in partnership with local stakeholders Lombardy Region, the Municipality of Milan, ENIT – Italian Tourist Board, and Bergamo Airport. The event will unite decision-makers from airlines, airports, and destinations to define strategies for the recovery of global air connectivity. Almost 600 organisations are currently registered to attend, including more than 220 airlines, across the in-person (10-12 October) and virtual (18-20 October) event days.

“The route development community may have changed a lot, but World Routes will still be like a big family reunion,” says Steven Small, Brand Director, Routes. “The social events will truly showcase what Milan and the wider Lombardy region have to offer, which you simply can’t normally experience in a quick business visit.”

“Our ability to consistently unite decision-makers from the route development community means Routes continues to influence the world’s air services; over 3,500 new air services are connected to meetings at Routes events in the last three years alone,” says Small. “The number of airlines and the seniority of the airline delegates confirmed to attend World Routes in Milan demonstrates the importance of in-person meetings to help overcome the impact of this pandemic.”

Alongside the meetings and exhibition, Routes has also developed a stellar conference programme.
