Wire India, Tube India, Metallurgy India and INDIA ESSEN WELDING & CUTTTING welcomed 14000 visitors from 27-29th November 2018 at Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.
The exhibition spread over an area of 25,000 sqm. brought together 500 exhibitors from 24 countries; offering a mega platform for latest technologies and solutions in wire and cable production, tube and pipe production, pipe processing, metallurgy and welding.
Organized by Messe Düsseldorf India, the trade fair covered the entire spectrum of metal works and technology. The demand for wire, cable and tubes in India continues to be high. Despite the global steel crisis and excess production capacities in neighboring countries, the Indian economy posts strong growth for these areas.
The highlights at wire India were the latest technologies in machines and plants for wire production and processing, forming technology, spring-making technology, cable and stranded wire machines, tools and auxiliaries for process engineering, measuring and control technology, all types of wires, rolled wire, bare wire, bars, sheet metal as well as special wires and cables.
In addition to the exhibition, a conference on “Polymers in cables and Wires” was also organized by Messe Düsseldorf India in association with Color Publications Pvt. Ltd. The one-day conference was an attempt to provide an opportunity to the entire manufacturing and application supply chain for the use of polymers in cables and wires, and harbor a better understanding of better practices and newer products therein. A conference on “Labour Issues Affecting Construction Industry” was also organized by Builders Association of India.
Tube India International companies presented the complete range from tube production to tube processing as well as the tube trading segment. The spectrum included raw materials, tubes and accessories, tube manufacturing machinery and used machinery as well as tools for process engineering and auxiliaries, measuring and control technology. The International Tube Association (ITA) together with its India Chapter organized a technical conference on “Transformation of Tube and pipe manufacturing adopting digital technologies”. The conference was a window for all involved with the tube and pipe industry to take a look at current and emerging global practices and trends in design and manufacturing technologies via industry 4.0.
The diverse set of subjects covered at India Essen Welding & Cutting varied from cutting edge solution for plants and equipment for joining, surfacing and cutting processes via thermal spraying right up to data processing as well as automation processes. Moreover, DVS (German Welding Society) supported the initiative once again. The specialist conference “International Welding Symposium (IWS 2K18)” staged by the Indian Welding Society promoted the exchange of knowledge between manufacturers, users and researchers. BHEL also extended its support towards the technical conference for the welding Industry.
These exhibitions showcase state-of-the-art technologies and solutions from the fields of wire and cable making, tube production, tube processing, metallurgy and welding and open up exciting avenues for the entire metal fairs industry” said Thomas Schlitt, Managing Director, Messe Düsseldorf India.
