The 41st Annual General Meeting of ITPO was chaired by L.C. Goyal, Chairman and MD, ITPO at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 22nd October, 2018. Present on the occasion were senior officials from the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (being ITPO’s shareholders), members of ITPO’s Board and its senior officers. Despite the reduction in interest income and the decline in exhibition space due to ITPO’s ongoing mega project of redevelopment of its landmark exhibition ground ‘Pragati Maidan’ into a state-of-the-art International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC), ITPO could manage to generate an income of Rs. 360 Cr and a net surplus of Rs.135 Cr during 2017-18. ITPO is gearing up to meet new challenges and competitions to provide best services to organizers of third party exhibitions; for which an exercise is also underway to make internal processes, systems and procedures simpler and more user-friendly. For the year 2017-18, ITPO is expected to achieve MOU rating “Excellent”. While addressing the AGM, L.C. Goyal expressed his gratitude to all the stakeholders for their contributions towards ITPO being a significant player in Indian and global exhibition and convention industry.
