Ticket Root was born with the purpose of reducing the operational pain points for
event organizers

ES. Can you tell us a bit about the inception of Ticket Root? What inspired the creation of this platform?

Ragni Ahuja. Being in the business of manufacturing event wearables for over 30 years with our company ImpressionsID we had active conversations with event organizers and event owners. they sought systems or ways in which to organize and streamline operations better in order to lessen the manual load and huge errors in tracking entries and sales at the live event. One of the early spaces that we were immediately taken to was replacing plastic tokens ( manufactured by us) and used as cash at large music festivals. Dumping kilos of plastic into trash pushed us to think what can solve for this and we 1st developed an RFID based cashless system for events precovid and rolled out the tech in many popular F&B events across the country. It started from a mix of desire to resolve the issues for event organizers, look into their plight as they ploughed away for hours handling large crowds, queues and ‘unknowns’ with this mindset towards how wasteful events can be and as a manufacturer what is it that we can do to reduce this footprint

ES. Could you elaborate on the innovative features of your POS software and how they benefit both event organizers and attendees?

Ragni Ahuja. Ticket Root was born with the purpose of reducing the operational pain points for event organizers, The tech we developed is firstly very simple and intuitive to use. What we offer is turn-key registration solutions for B2B exhibitions and associations with features that help organizers build and nurture their communities.

The clean and sophisticated interface combined with the flexibility of customizing workflows to deliver a smooth experience from registration, pass purchase, badging to on site printing with skilled manpower is what customers appreciate…we also provide our innovative cashless system to organizers hostng festivals to ease the billing and accounting for in event purchases. Here the customer’s wristband acts as his personal wallet which can be loaded pre event, at the event and used to make easy purchases and enable queue free experiences for the audience.

ES. How do you ensure the prevention or reduction of ticketing fraud, especially in large-scale exhibitions?

Ragni Ahuja. Our system is designed to handle tickets and all other stakeholders such as crew, merchants, VIP and the like. We use accreditation from the Ticketroot suite to identify and bring on to the system folks who are internal stakeholders. such as the crew, organizers etc.

This process eliminates a large percentage of leakage as the load on accrediting the legit visitors and bringing them onto the system is handled efficiently with a few clicks. It can be as deep as facial recognition which is the requirement for high security exhibitions. Moreover the QR code M-Tickets shared with buyers are encrypted limited to single use when scanned at any entry gate or as required by the organiser. Tickets shared are also tracked through the journey.

ES. How does your platform handle different scales of events, from small local exhibitions to large international ones?

Ragni Ahuja. Our platform is designed to be scalable and efficient for events of all sizes. Small local exhibitions typically require less on-ground support, while larger exhibitions need a proportionately larger crew. Regardless of the event scale, the technology remains the same and is capable of handling large volumes. Our aim is to ensure queue-free registration by aligning systems, registration desks, and the check-in process, allowing guests to enter quickly and efficiently.

ES. How do you see the role of technology evolving in the event management industry, and what part does TicketRoot play in this evolution?

Ragni Ahuja. Technology is crucial for the event management industry. For instance, a report by Allied Market Research estimates that the global event management software market will reach $14.8 billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR of 11.6% from 2019 to 2026. This growth underscores the increasing reliance on technology to enhance efficiency and attendee satisfaction. TicketRoot aims to provide tailored experiences with data-driven insights. As event organizers evolve, so do we, striving to offer faster, simpler, and smarter solutions for event entry, networking, and engagement needs.
