Strengthening Relations Between Two Nations And Its People: India-UAE Partnership Summit

The 2nd edition of India-UAE Partnership Summit was held on 30th and 31st October, 2018 at The Atlantis – The Palm, Dubai. The event was organised with the vision to promote investment & academic collaboration from UAE to India, with a focus on sectors like Education, Small and Medium Enterprises, Skill Development & Placement. IUPS was hosted by business leaders in association with Education Sector Partner ‘Afairs Education Advisory & Consulting’ and Indian Embassy-Abu Dhabi & Consulate General of India-Dubai and UAE Ministry of Economy as the Strategic Partners.

Indian States seeking investments also presented at the event. The focus Indian states were Delhi, Punjab, Assam and West Bengal, while the focus UAE Emirate was Sharjah.

The two-day summit was attended by over 400 delegates from India & UAE comprising of prominent Education Leaders, Chancellor’s, Vice Chancellors, Academicians, Schools Principals, Edupreneurs and EdTech Startups.
The event was glorified to have the august presence of His Excellency, Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Tolerance, UAE who conferred 9 eminent education leaders from India for their exemplary contribution in various spheres in education and social development. Vice chancellor of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) in Sonipat, Haryana, Professor C. Raj Kumar was felicitated with the Global Education Leaders Award for his contribution to research, innovation and institution building in higher education at the summit.

Guest of Honour Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, Chairman, Board of Directors & Director General, Knowledge & Human Development Authority (KHDA) and special invitee Mr. Nunzio Quacquarelli, Founder & CEO – QS World University Rankings delivered the special address at the summit. While His Excellency Navdeep Singh Suri, Ambassador of India to UAE and His Excellency Ahmed Abdulrahman Ambassador of UAE to India were amongst the speakers at the event.
