Trade Promotion Council of India, with support of Department of Commerce, Government of India, organized the India Pavilion at Sydney Build Expo 2022 between June 1-2, 2022. Sanjay K Muluka, Consular- Commercial & HOC, CGI, & Sandip Das, Deputy Director General, TPCI, inaugurated the pavilion.
Sydney Build Expo is Australia’s leading construction show featuring over 500 exhibitors & acclaimed speakers from the industry. The two-day event provides an important platform to explore the latest opportunities in NSW and Australia, with a galaxy of leading players, including contractors, architects, engineers, housebuilders, developers, government and construction professionals.
Currently, India is among the top 5 suppliers of Ceramic products to Australia. (Other major suppliers to Australia are China, Italy, Spain, Vietnam and Germany.) According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in calendar year Jan-Dec 2021, India’s ceramic exports to Australia amounted to US$ 18.29 million, rising 54.45% yoy from US$ 11.84 million. Further, according to ITC Trade Map, India has an untapped export potential to Australia of US$ 53 million in ceramic products.
