According to the report; Scaling up of rooftop solar in the SME sector in India; launched by Deloitte and Climate Investment Fund; at Intersolar India West from 4th to 5th April at Bombay Exhibition Centre; the MSME sector has witnessed steady growth over the past few years where it accounted for 29% of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and created 111 million jobs, according to Annual Report 2017-18 of the Ministry of MSME.

 

The Indian government has acknowledged this need and implemented several policies that encourage MSMEs to adopt energy efficient processes, less-polluting practices, and alternative energy solutions. The MSME sector has a crucial role to play in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and contributing to the country’s clean energy goals. However, the adoption and growth of rooftop solar applications in the MSME sector in India is yet to pick up. 5600+ key visitors with 75+ solar and renewable solution providers The Mumbai edition gathered 5600+ trade visitors from various end user industries in the span of 2 days. The visitors attended in huge numbers on both the days putting a strong networking platform for 75+ exhibitors from across the globe offering solutions on photovoltaic, PV production and solar thermal technologies. The variety of solar and renewable solution providers enabled a good sourcing platform for the industry stakeholders including; installers and integrators, project developers/EPC contractors, manufacturers and suppliers, energy consultants, investors and analysts, architects/energy planner and government officials; etc.

100+ delegates and 50+ speakers at multiple conference sessions The exhibition included important conference sessions enabling more insights on India’s PV market development along with topics like; financing and business models, enhancing profitability and safety through O&M and improving rural economy – mini & micro-Grids. Sessions like “Bridging the Sustainability Gap – Skills, Entrepreneurship and Technology” conducted by Skill Council for Green Jobs; welcomed 50+ speakers throughout the 2 days giving 100+ delegates numerous opportunities to get insights on the latest trends and key drivers of the solar and renewable industry.

The day 2 of the exhibition concluded with few of our key exhibitors presenting their technologies to the registered delegates.
